Gunslinger's Guns will only transfer Maryland legal firearms to an eligible party. All firearms must be Maryland compliant.
If you are attempting to transfer a handgun, ensure you hold a valid Maryland HQL license (unless active/retired military or MD/Federal law enforcement officer)
Maryland compliant handguns must be listed on the Maryland Handgun Roster (or be manufactured prior to 1985). Maryland State Police has an online firearms search feature located here.
If you attempt to transfer a firearm into or in Maryland that is not compliant, you, as the proposed transferee are responsible for all return shipping costs to the Seller. If you do not know if a gun is Maryland legal, we highly recommend you contact the Maryland State Police. Transfer fees paid are non-refundable.
After we accept your transfer, Gunslinger's Guns will e-mail the Seller a copy of our FFL license.
Once your firearm arrives at Gunslinger's Guns we will text and email you within 24 – 48 hours after receiving your firearm. At this time you should make an appointment for paperwork (Maryland Regulated Items – Hand Guns) or paperwork and pick up (Maryland Unregulated Items - Long Guns). The text and email will provide a link to schedule the appointment.
Please visit our location at your scheduled appointment time and ensure you bring the following with you and are prepared to do the following:
Maryland Regulated Items – Hand Guns
All hand guns, per Maryland law, will be available for pickup on approved applications 7 business days from final application submission. You will get an email notice from the MD State Police.
Maryland Non-Regulated Items – Long Guns Guns
Once your background check is approved you may take possession of your firearm.
Once your firearm is approved for transfer to you and any waiting periods have elapsed the following will occur:
You must pickup your firearm at our Frederick, MD location within 30 days once your firearm is approved for transfer to you. Failure to pickup your firearm within 30 days results in a $2 daily storage fee. If you fail to pickup your firearm within 60 days for any reason including a negative eligibility determination, you forfeit your firearm to Gunslinger's Guns.
